#2 SFTS's North American Harvard (#3005) training aircraft was on a cross-country training flight when it crashed at Indian Island, Papineau Lake, Quebec, taking the lives of Leading Aircraftman David Harold ARMITAGE and Leading Aircraftman Albert James Joseph SINCLAIR.

Son of Albert Edward Sinclair of London, Ontario, and son of the late and Grace Irene (née Downs) Sinclair [father born in Lampton Mills, Ontario; mother born in Hepworth, Ontario].


Leading Aircraftman Albert James Joseph Sinclair is commemorated on Page 114 of Canada's Second World War Book of Remembrance.

He is also commemorated by the Commonwealth War Graves Commission.
