Peggy Charlene Harris, 76, of Winter Garden, Florida passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 21, 2021, at Cornerstone Hospice House in Ocoee, Florida, with her loving family by her side.
Peggy was born on February 7, 1945 in New Orleans, Louisiana, the daughter of the late Lester J. Couvillion and Norma (Mayeaux) Couvillion. Peggy was the loving wife of Robert Gordon Harris, Jr. and the mother of Duane, Charlene, Robert III and Carrie Ann.
Peggy worked as a caregiver for residents at a retirement community in Thornton, Colorado where she provided love and support to both the residents and their families. She also worked at an animal shelter providing love and compassion to the animals who were in her care. Peggy was a hardworking woman and a loving mother and wife.
Peggy's husband, Robert, preceded her in death. Peggy is survived by four children, Duane Edward Harris of Thornton, CO, Charlene Diane Harris of Winter Garden, FL, Robert Gordon Harris, III, of Parker, CO and
Carrie Ann Harris of San Marcos, CA, and 3 loving grandchildren, Aydan Harris, San Marcos, CA, Ashley Gestefield, Winter Garden, FL, and Emily Gestefield, Winter Garden, FL.
Our mother was the sweetest most loving person who always put her family first. She was our guiding light through life and will be missed every moment of every day.
Peggy will be interred alongside her husband, Robert, at Bushnell National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL.
