Lewis B "Davy" Crocker

Davy was born in Bradford, TN on August 29, 1929 and departed for his Heavenly home on Sunday, September 12, 2004. Davy came to Fresno in 1955 with his family and worked as a painter for the Fresno Unified School District for 35 years, his last years as a paint foreman for the paint shop. He retired in 1991.

Davy was a 32nd Degree Master Mason, a member of the Scottish Rite Bodies and the Tehran Shrine and was awarded the Hiram Award on November 11, 1982.

Davy was an avid fisherman and he and Helen traveled many happy miles throughout the United States and Canada in their moterhome. They belonged to the Weekend Vagabonds RV Club with whom they enjoyed many happy times.

Davy leaves behind Helen, his loving wife of 57 years, five sons, Barry, David, Richard, Alan and Mark, and their spouses, Joyce, Carol, Cindy, Susan and Ronna. He also leaves ten grandchildren, Theron, Justin, Michelle, Jerrod, Brannon, Joseph, Amanda, Michael, Joshua and Ashton, a sister of Missouri, his loyal and faithful pet Sammy as well as a host of caring friends.

The family extends special thanks to Doctors S. P. Dhillon, Robert Chambers, Klaus Hoffmann, and Robert Julian, and their staffs who served Davy in his last years with much care and concern. Also, our heartfelt thanks to St. Agnes Hospital Staff for their tireless efforts on Davy's behalf and their love and support for the family.

He will be missed.

Visitation will be held at the Tinkler Funeral Chapel & Crematory on Thursday, September 16, 2004, from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

A Graveside Service will be held at the Clovis Cemetery on Friday, September 17, 2004, at 10:00 a.m.

Remembrances may be made to the Tehran Shrine Transportation Fund, 5407 E. Olive, Fresno, CA 93727.
