Katherine Dawn Brown passed away at her home north of Holdenville, Oklahoma on Saturday, July 31, 2021, at the age of 35 years.

Katherine was the daughter of Kenneth Brown & Deborah (Bruner) Clark, born on June 19, 1986 in Claremore, Oklahoma. She was brought up in the Holdenville area, and attended Yeager Head Start and Holdenville schools. She was a graduate of Wes Watkins Technical School. She was a proud member of the Mvskoke Creek Nation and belonged to Fuswvlke (Bird Clan). She was also an active member of Salt Creek Methodist Church. Some of her favorite things were cruising the streets, shopping, baking, cooking, and garage sales. She loved eating, especially ice cream, and spending time with her beloved kids and family. She is deeply loved, gone too soon, and will be deeply missed.

She is preceded in death by her father, Kenneth Brown, in 2013; paternal grandparents Robert Joe Brown and Lorene (Dunn) Brown; maternal grandparents George & Lizzie Bruner; uncle Melvin Bruner; nephew Kaden 'Bubba' Briones.

She is survived by her companion of twenty years, Shorty Rodriguez, daughter Kaitlyn, two sons, Nicolas and Adriano, all of the home; her mother, Deborah Bruner Clark of Wewoka; five sisters: Kimberly Brown (Pedro) Briones of Wewoka, Christy Clark (Sammy Wahweah) of El Reno, Sandy Clark of Tulsa, Megan Stone (Matt Cummings) of Claremore, and Tara Brown (Trevor) of Sapulpa; two brothers, Daniel Brown (Aliza) of Taholah WA, and Billy Brown (Kayla) of Sapulpa, and nephew Mason Yahola, raised as a little brother; nineteen nieces and nephews: Kacie, Kenzi, Kenny, Quinten, Cameron, Sissy, Monica, Amanda, Alyssa, Ethan, Miriah, Jacob, Lucas, Elsie Mae, Sanford, Nakota, Teagan, Maquel, and James; various other relatives, and many friends.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, August 4, 2021, 2:00 p.m. at Salt Creek Methodist Church, with Rev. Paul Fixico officiating, and Katherine will be laid to rest at the Harjo Family Cemetery north of Holdenville. Pallbearers are Mason Yahola, Quinten Wahweah, Jeremi Cervantes, David California Hernandez, Massey Barnett, and Elle Harris. Honorary pallbearers are Pedro Briones, Patrick Randall, Ray-Ray Dyer, David Hernandez, Jorge Cervantes, and Bony Silva.

Wake services will be held on Monday, August 2, 7:00 p.m. at Fisher Funeral Home-Lillye Chapel, and on Tuesday, August 3, 7:00 p.m. at Salt Creek Methodist Church. Procession from the funeral home to the church will be at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
