Sonya Ford passed peacefully August 17, 2008 after a brief but courageous battle with cancer, secure in the love of her family and friends. Sonya was a woman of passion, an incomparable spirit both classy and sassy. She loved animals, orchids and clothes. She loved to laugh and entertain, but most of all she loved her family and friends. Special thanks must be extended to the fabulous staff at CancerCare Manitoba and tremendous nurses at St. Boniface Hospital who provided completely compassionate care. Services to celebrate Sonya's life were held on August 22 at Thomson In the Park Funeral Home, 1291 McGillivray Blvd., Winnipeg.
