David Locklin, 68, of Thorndale passed away on August 2, 2021.
David Burke Locklin was born on June 6, 1953 in Thorndale to James Lee and Henrietta (Benad) Locklin. He grew up with his older brother, younger brother, and younger sister. He graduated from Thorndale High School in 1971. Soon after High School, David began his career and lifelong dream and passion of being an Ironworker. While working in Iowa, David met his wife Micki (Mosbach). They married in Ely, NV on December 10, 1983. To their marriage, they had two daughters: Audrey & Kelsie.
David worked all across the United States as an Ironworker, while maintaining his homefront in Thorndale. He loved being an Ironworker and even from a young age spoke of wanting to be the best. David retired in 2016 after a 45 year long career. He always maintained his love of nature, beautiful skies, craftmanship, reading, and all intellectual endeavors. David was a very giving man, but never wanted acknowledgement for his selfless acts. David loved his family, friends, and fellow Ironworker brothers.
David is proceeded in death by his parents, James Lee & Henrietta. He is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Micki; daughters, Audrey & Kelsie, son-in-law's Nathan and Dustin; grandchildren, Peyton & Parker; brothers Scott (Diane) and Jay (Patty); sister, Sarah, along with nieces and nephews.
To honor his wishes, no funeral or memorial service will be held. His family does welcome any love and memories you may have of David. In lieu of flowers, please make a memorial contribution to the charity of your choice or simply be kind and giving to others.
