Jimmy Dale "Jim" Roberts, Sr., 82, of Topeka, passed away on Sunday, August 1, 2021. He was born November 8, 1938 in St. Joseph, Missouri, the son of J.D. and Dorothy (Reeder) Roberts.
Jim was a Navy Veteran. He owned and operated Roberts Trucking. He was a member of Local Operators Union No. 101.
Survivors include four children, eight grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Jim was preceded in death by three siblings, Donnie, Bonnie and Judith.
Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Jim's Life will be held after 1:00 p.m. Saturday, August 7, 2021 on his farm. Private inurnment will take place at a later date.
