Victoria loved her time in Panama. One of her favorite past times was shelling on the beach. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, sister, cousin, and friend who had a glowing personality that touched the lives of all those around her. Her smile was infectious, and you could always expect to laugh when around her. She was one of the first few black students to graduate from Manhattan High School (1966).
Victoria is survived by her daughter Rachel Brooks-Williams with her husband Terry Williams and daughter Autiana Brooks, and her three sons George Brooks III, Brian Brooks, and Jesse Andrew Brooks with his wife Savannah Jennings-Brooks. She is survived by her siblings Paula M. Fuller (Henry), MD, Michael L. Wilhoite (Toni), KS, Gregory L. Wilhoite, KS, Ernest D. Wilhoite, KS, Lori L. Powell (Alton), KY, Jacqueline R. Norman, KS.
She loved playing bingo and watching her mysteries. Some of her favorite things were teddy bears, cows, birdhouses, crocheting, and collecting small figurines.
Graveside services was at the Sunrise Cemetery in Manhattan, KS. The family of Victoria Brooks received friends on Wednesday, July 28, 2021, at 11 a.m. at the cemetery columbaria plot in section K. There was virtual options on Zoom.
