Funeral services for Carol Ann Adams will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, August 6, 2021, at Simpson Church of God with Reverends Bob Schlemmer, John Green, and Shawn Waggoner officiating. Burial will follow in Welcome Cemetery under the direction of Jeane's Funeral Service. A visitation will be held at the church from 5:00 to 10:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 5th.
Carol was born April 19, 1946, in Mariemont, Ohio and went to be with her Lord on August 1, 2021, in Alexandria, LA at the age of 75.
In 1986, the Adams family moved to Simpson where Reverend Terry Lee Adams Sr. was the pastor of the Simpson Church of God. Carol had a servant's heart for Children's Ministry and was the Children's Director at the church. In 1987, "Ma Carol's" Day Care was started out of that ministry. "Ma Carol" soon became the name that everyone knew. Carol kept so many children in their home, through the day care, that you could say she raised half of Simpson. The children all loved coming to Ma Carol and Paw Paw Preachies house so much that some did not want to leave when it was time and said they were going to live with them now. You could bet that at least three to four days a week they had at least one child spending the night with them. Carol instilled the love of God into each and every child that she took care of. Over the years she has been an active member in many organizations. She was currently a member of the following local parish organizations: Louisiana Ministerial Alliance (LAMA), Simpson PTO, Simpson Volunteer Fire Department, Vernon Parish Fire Chaplains, Louisiana Fire Chaplain's Network, International Federation of Fire Chaplains, and Central Louisiana Veterans Cemetery (CLVC). She has also held positions on boards at the state level of the Louisiana Assembly of the Church of God (Anderson, IN) as well as within her local church at Simpson Church of God. Carol was always passionate and gave everything she had to every aspect of each organization. With all that being said, her greatest passion was being a servant for Christ. She showed the love of Christ to everyone she encountered, no matter the circumstances or who you were. She never met a stranger.
Carol was preceded in death by her husband, Reverend Terry Lee Adams Sr; son, Scott Avery Adams; parents, Woodrow and Georgia (Abner) Million; brothers, Garland and Dwayne Million; and sister, Shirley Stephens.
Those left to cherish her memory are her two sons, TJ Adams and wife Sherry (Tioga, LA) and John Christian Adams and wife Gena (Simpson, LA);
four grandchildren, Bryce Adams and wife Alisha, Blaize Adams, Bryanna Adams, and Drew Adams;
three great grandchildren, Bentley, Kayden, and Hudson (her little side kick) Adams;
and one brother, Danny Million (Middletown, OH).
