Patricia Ann Hood, 65, of 149 Sunny Slope Drive, Cowpens, S.C. went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, August 1, 2021.
Born in Phoenixville, Pa., she was the widow of the late John P. Hood and daughter of the late James Michael O'Connell and Elizabeth Nyce.
She retired from Harvey's Drive-In and was a member of Corinth Baptist Church. She loved her family and children, gardening, working in her yard and helping others.
Surviving are a son, Kenny Brown (Kelly) of Gaffney, S.C.; one daughter, Renee Brooks (David) of Abbeville, S.C.; a stepdaughter, Brandi Phillips (Shannon) of Sunset Beach, N.C.; a stepson, Mark Hood (Trudy) of Gaffney; two sisters, Vella Rios (Perry) of Denver, Co. and Kathy Reynolds of Cowpens; sisters-in-law, Jill O'Connell of Hendersonville, N.C. and Sheila Smith of Gaffney; grandchildren, Samantha Brooks, Will Brown, Ann Marie Brooks, Weston Brown, Zac Brooks, Tori Osment, Alli Osment and Abby Beason; a great-grandchild, Willow Kitchens; two nieces, Kayla O'Connell and Jennifer O'Connell and two nephews, Matt O'Connell and Christian Rios (Lela).
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Mike O'Connell and William "Bill" O'Connell.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m until 1:00 p.m on Wednesday, August 4, 21 at Blakely Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 p.m. in the Blakely Funeral Home Chapel with Mr. Ashby Blakely officiating. Interment will be in Pacolet Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: Spartanburg Regional Hospice, P.O. Box 2624, Spartanburg, S.C. 29304.
