William Hale "Bill" Weaver, 84 years of age, of Orleans, Nebraska, died, on July 31, 2021, at the Phelps Memorial Health Center in Holdrege. Bill was born in Humnoke, Arkansas on December 12, 1936, the fifth of five children, born to Howard and Jessie (Hale) Weaver. He received his primary education from Little Rock Public School in Little Rock, Arkansas. Bills father passed away while he was in school, as a result he left early to work and help care for his mom and siblings.

Following his education, Bill worked construction as a private contractor and for Weaver Tree Service. He was truly a jack of all trades and loved to tinker with things.

On October 7, 1960, William was united in marriage to Lillian Lick and to this union three children were born: William Jr., Dave, and Cheri. The couple made their home in Indianola, Nebraska and later moved to Elm Creek, Nebraska. Together they enjoyed: playing cards; dancing; and camping.

He was a member of the VFW in McCook, Nebraska. Bill enjoyed: fishing; playing horseshoes and especially spending time with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Bill will be remembered for his homemade eggnog and fudge, singing, and his sense of humor.

Besides his wife, and parents he was preceded in death by his brother, John Weaver; three sisters: Mary; Tony and Jolene.

Bill is survived by; his children: William "Bill" Weaver Jr. and his significant other, Vickie Blair of Holdrege; Dave Weaver of Holdrege; Cheri Paling and her husband, Tim of Hastings, Nebraska; grandchildren: Brandon Paling and his wife, Schandra; Josh Paling; Justin Weaver and his wife, Megan; Alyssa Miller; Nathan Weaver; Nicholas Weaver and his wife, Holly; Neil Weaver and his wife, Courtney; Jessica Blair; Michelle Araujo and her husband, Shane; numerous great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
