FUNERAL HELD WED. FOR OLDEST PERSON OF ASHLEY VALLEY
Funeral services for Peter F, Peterson, 94, the oldest male resident of Ashley Valley, were conducted Wednesday at 11 a.m. in Jensen Ward Chapel.
Mr. Peterson died Saturday morning of causes incident to age at the home of a son, Ivan, Vernal.
Born March 1, 1861, in Copenhagen, Denmark, a son of Peter and Maria Peterson, he came to the United States at the age of ten years, residing in Mt. Pleasant.
He was married to Sarah Ellen Murray in Spanish Fork and she preceded him in death. He came to Jensen in 1895 and lived most of his life there.
Mr. Peterson was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
Survivors include two sons, Ivan Peterson, Vernal and Marvin Peterson, Jensen; 14 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.
Burial was in Jensen Cemetery.
