Rose B. Corsolini, 81, of Aurora, passed away November 18, 2007 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born September 24, 1926 in Aurora, IL the daughter of the late Joseph and Josephine Flannigan.
Rose worked at Dreyer Medical Clinic for nearly 30 years where she made many wonderful friends with her fun-loving personality. You didn't have to know Rose long before you realized she enjoyed talking with people, had a great sense of humor, a contagious smile and made people laugh. She was most happy when spending time with her large family and took special delight in her grandchildren.
She is survived by eight children, Thomas Corsolini, MD (Susan) of Springfield, MO, Candice Medgyesi (John), of Yorkville, IL, Jeffrey Corsolini, of Aurora, IL, James Corsolini, of Berwyn, IL, David Corsolini (Kathy) of Nixa, MO, Daniel (Rosemarie) of Carol Stream, IL; Mark Corsolini of Aurora, IL, and Patricia Vogel (Daniel) of Aurora, IL; and by eleven grandchildren, Sara Medgyesi of Simi Valley, CA, Jake Medgyesi of Plano, IL, Dugan Corsolini of Springfield, MO, Sam, Rose, Tony and Angelo Corsolini of Nixa, MO, Jordan Corsolini of Berwyn, IL, Evan and Summer Corsolini of Carol Stream, IL, and Megan Vogel of Aurora, IL; three sisters, Mary Porter of Atlantis, FL, Anna Mae Minneci (Phil) of Montgomery, IL, and Patricia Sargent (Maurice) of Fort Collins, CO, and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Daniel R. Corsolini; one sister, Kathleen DelMonte; one brother, Joseph Flannigan.
A memorial mass will be held Wednesday 11:00 a.m. November 21, 2007 at Holy Angels Church, 108 S. Russell Ave., Aurora, IL with Fr. Andrew Skrobutt officiating. Visitation will be held Tuesday 4-8 p.m. November 20, 2007 at The Healy Chapel, 332 W. Downer Pl., Aurora, IL. Interment will be private at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to the Community Foundation of the Fox River Valley, 111 West Downer Place, Suite 312, Aurora, IL 60506, for the Italian-American Mutual Aid Society of Aurora, Illinois Scholarship Endowment Fund.
