HANNA – John Clarke of Hanna passed away on Saturday July 31, 2021 in his home following an illness. He was born on March 13, 1940 in Devonshire, Bermuda to the late Ralph and Margaret "Winnie" (Canton) Clarke and was 81 years-old at the time of his death.

John lived in Hanna for 55 years coming from Kouts. On April 29, 1966 in Valparaiso, he married the love of his life Carol and spent 55 wonderful years together. He was a veteran of the US Army, a member of the Hanna United Methodist Church and a past member of the Hanna Volunteer Fire Department. John previously owned and operated John's Standard Station in Wanatah for 20 years where he gave many kids their first working experience. He loved annual fishing trips to Minnesota. Most of all he was a family man who cherished them dearly, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

John is survived by his loving wife Carol of Hanna; two sons Robert (Jodi) Clarke of South Bend and Eric (Tara) Clarke of Hanna; two daughters Lisa (Fred) Goetz of Kouts and Kris (David) Jones of Union Mills; nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

John's wishes were to be cremated and private family services will be held at a later date. The Rannells Funeral Home, Hamlet Chapel is honored to be entrusted with John's care and arrangements.
