Helen Irene Sparks left us to return to heaven on July 29th, 2021, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She was born February 7th, 1923 in Oklahoma City to Schuyler Glen and Jewell H. (Knox) Hoisington. After graduating high school, she would go on to marry Harvey Lee Sparks. Together they would raise three children, Carol, Harvey II, and Glen, who were the center of Helen's world.

She was a lively, bright soul who loved to bring joy to those around her. The ultimate hostess she made sure that everyone who entered her home found a warm, welcoming environment. It should surprise no one that she was a member of the Red Hat Ladies, sharing her big personality with the world. She was also a member of the WMU.

Helen was a bright part of many congregations over the years, attending Portland Avenue Baptist and Norfolk Baptist before settling in at Surrey Hills Baptist Church. Helen's memory will be a blessing to all who knew and loved her over the years.

Helen is preceded in death by her parents Schuyler and Jewell (Knox) Hoisington; loving husband Harvey Lee Sparks, and sister Wilma Mae and husband Lloyd Peek.

She leaves behind her to cherish her memory her daughter Carol Djon Corn, husband Hal Eugene Corn, of Cashion, OK; son Harvey Lee Sparks, wife Sherry Jane, of Oklahoma City, OK; son Glen Lilbert Sparks, wife Shulan Liu, of Tulsa, OK; sister Wilma Mae, husband Lloyd Peek; six grandchildren, twenty-one great-grandchildren, and one niece.

A memorial service for Helen will be held Sunday, August 15, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Surrey Hills Baptist Church, 12421 N Mustang Rd, Yukon, Oklahoma.
