BARRY'S OBITUARY
Barry Lend McDonald, age 65 of Adams St., Moorefield, WV, passed away Thursday evening, July 29, 2021 at his residence with his family at his side. Born on May 22, 1956 in Arlington, VA, he was the son of the late Garrett Keith McDonald and Ruth Elizabeth Day McDonald. A stepson, Daniel L. Sharpe and a brother, Travis McDonald also preceded him in death.
Barry enjoyed life, and in his spare time he would carve wood, make shelves and swings. He was a family man who enjoyed his family and attending family reunions. He was a simple man that did the job he was asked to do.
Surviving is his wife Gail Louise Templeton McDonald; two stepsons, Allen Christopher of Pinnacle, NC and Steven Paul Sharpe of Moorefield, WV; four brothers, Perry McDonald of Moorefield, WV, Gary (LeDonna) McDonald of Sugar Grove, WV, Terry (Patti) McDonald of West Bend, WI and Jerry McDonald of Moorefield, WV; a sister, Mary (Tommy) Thacker of Winchester, VA and numerous nieces and nephews.
Graveside Services will be conducted 11:00 AM Tuesday, August 3, 2021 at the Olivet Cemetery in Moorefield with Pastor Gary Shirk, Jr. officiant. Interment will follow. The family will receive friends from 6 - 8 PM Monday at the Fraley Funeral Chapel, 107 Washington Street.
