Michele was born on June 30, 1951, in Evansville, IN, and graduated Western Kentucky University and earned a master's degree in Religious Education from the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. Michele lived most of her life in Louisville, KY, and in Raleigh, NC, where she served as a children's minister, a hospice coordinator, and an administrator at NC State University. Michele gave much of herself and her time to helping others, working in Louisville as a caregiver for seniors, a patient coordinator at Baptist Hospital East and, most recently, as a cashier at Kroger's. Michele adored her dogs and loved sharing stories about them with friends. She enjoyed arts and crafts fairs and found peace in walking outdoors.

Survivors include her nephew, James Eric (Galina) Jones of Paris, France; her brother-in-law, Bruce (Carol) Jones of Louisville, KY; cousins Pamela (Peter) Lewis, MO, Kathy Stephenson, IL, David Stephenson, IN, Clyde (Mildred) Beck, Jr., IN, and Patricia (Tom) Savage, IN.

Michele was preceded in death by her sister, Charlene Hall Jones; her mother, Pearl Stephenson Hall; and her father, James Thomas Hall.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, August 4, 2021, at the Newcomer Funeral Home in Middletown, KY, at 235 Juneau Drive. Visitation with the family will precede the service and will begin at 1 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, stjude.org, or the Kentucky Humane Society, kyhumane.org.
