Michael was a native of Randolph County. He was a 1986 graduate of Randleman High School and was an employee of Klaussner Furniture Industries. Michael was preceded in death by his parents, William and Barbara Presnell Garner, sister, Brenda Trivett, brother, Larry Clyde Garner, niece, Gracie Harris, nephew, Miles Allison, and father-in-law, James Ritter.
