Cecil Ray (Diddle) Knight Jr., 70 of Grafton passed unexpectedly on July 26, 2021. He was born October 30, 1950, son of the late Cecil Ray Knight Sr. and Edith Kenney. Cecil was preceded in death by the love of his life Karen Sue Knight. They were united in marriage on December 16, 1987.

Cecil enlisted in the US Navy, then once he came home, he began his career at Fourco Glass Company until they closed. Cecil then started working at Jack's Car Wash. Many friends reconnected with him, maybe just a beep as they passed by or stopped to shoot the bull. Cecil loved his job and the daily visits.

Cecil is survived by his three children and their spouses; Casey and Breanna Knight of Morgantown, Jason and Natasha McDaniel of Flemington, Kyla and Shawn Palmer of Grafton. His world was his 6 grandchildren; Brooklyn, and Brayden Palmer, Damian McDaniel, Landon Kallie, and Amarianna Knight. One brother Pressley and Glenda Knight. One sister and brother in-law Constance and Beryl Riley all of Grafton, several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents and wife he is preceded in death by one sister Tammy Moats, and stepfather Scott Kenney. His father and mother in-law Arthur and Betty McCourt, one brother in-law Ricky McCourt.

Cecil enjoyed his children and grandchildren and was very proud of all of them. Cecil was known as pap to many he loved. Always with a smile on his face.

The family will receive friends Thursday, July 29, 2021 from 2-8PM at Bartlett Funeral Home Grafton, Funeral services will be conducted Friday, July 30. 2021 at 11:00AM with Pastor David Bess officiating. Interment will follow in the WV National Cemetery where full Military Rites will be accorded by the Taylor County Honor Guard and the Navy.
