Bertha 'Jeanne' Smith
March 16, 1934 – July 22, 2021
Jeanne Smith of Rathdrum, Idaho, joined her beloved husband who preceded her in death in March. She passed away in the presence of her children at the amazing Schneidmiller Hospice House. Jeanne was born in Bancroft, Idaho, to Ernest Victor and Lillian (Gascoigne) Delbridge. As an infant, Jeanne traveled with her family to Yorkshire, England, later to return to the United States as a young lady - where she met Duane Smith and was married on May 12, 1953. Jeanne and Duane spent many years in West Valley City, Utah, where they started their family. In 1978, they relocated to Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, and once retired, they traveled to Yuma, Ariz.
Jeanne was truly an incredibly sweet soul; she was very kind, loving and endearing. She enjoyed gardening, growing flowers, reading and sewing. She joined a quilting club and created many beautiful quilts and also made some beautiful friendships. She was a wonderful mother and friend to her children, and a dedicated homemaker and wife. Jeanne was very loved and will always remain in our thoughts and prayers and will be greatly missed.
Jeanne is survived by her children; Pamela Johnson Boehme, Stephanie and Dennis Fenenbock, Kim Duane Smith and Pandy Brown; grandchildren, Erik and Jessica Fenenbock, Aaron Fenenbock, Kyla and Josh Groneman, Jarett Johnson, Richelle and Cole Rieben, Adam and Steffany Fenenbock, Braden and Hayley Johnson, Sam Gommel-Smith, Kenneth Smith, Estella Smith, Lillyona Boehme; 12 great-grandchildren, and sweet Marley dog.
