Tribute: Guadalupe Lopez was born in Bastrop, TX to Luis and Monica (Zapata) Zavala. She was raised in Bastrop and moved to Colorado later in her life. Mrs. Lopez was a migrant worker for several years and also did house cleaning. In 1941 she married Bisente Lopez and later had four children. Mrs. Lopez loved to garden, and loved roses. She was very involved in the Catholic Churches and attended many activities at the Rodarte Center. Some of her other hobbies included crocheting, and cooking for everyone around her.

Mrs. Lopez will be remembered as a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She was the Heart of the Family, and she will be greatly missed.

Mrs. Lopez died Saturday November 10, 2007 at North Colorado Medical Center, Hospice Unit.

Survivors: three daughters, Virginia Rendon of Greeley, Mary L. Pena and husband Richard of Longmont, and Mary Morado of Evergreen, CO; son, Pete Lopez Sr. and wife Lorraine of Severance; 19 grandchildren; 38 great grandchildren; 31 great-great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Preceeded in death by: husband, Bisente Lopez (Charro); parents; son, Juan Lopez (Charrito); grandchildren, Carmelita Rendon and Ridgette Rivera; and brothers and sister.

Services: 10:00 a.m. Thursday November 15, 2007 at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church.

Visitation: 4-8 p.m. Wednesday November 14, 2007 at Adamson Downtown Chapel.

Rosary: 7:00 p.m. Wednesday at Adamson Downtown Chapel.

Interment: Lakeview Cemetery, Windsor, CO.
