Daniel (Dan) Anthony Hall, beloved husband, father, and friend, passed away at his home in Sioux Falls, SD, July 29, 2021. He was 58.

Dan was born October 14, 1962, in Abilene, TX to James F. Hall and Margaret E. Carrico. Being a military brat, he grew up and went to school in many places along the way, including England and Italy. Dan was in the Air Force and attended college for 2 years. After his military service and schooling, Dan spent many years as a Heavy Equipment Operator in the construction industry. His strengths in his job and work ethic lead him to many supervisory positions as the general foreman.

Dan was blessed with three sons of his own and lit up when he would get a chance to talk to any one of them as they got older. Through all ups and downs in life they have always been a light that shined in his heart.

Dan met and fell in love with Jessica Behrends and his only regret from that was that his coworkers started to realize he was a nice guy, not a scary one. Dan and Jessica joined in marriage on October 24, 2015 at their home, signing papers to make it official in the presence of family and friends. Dan eventually adopted Jessica's youngest, Gracie, on November 17, 2017, though all three of her children were very special to him. Being on the road for work most of the time, Dan even had pictures of the family in his truck, so they were always with him.

Jessica's children were not the only kids that were special to Dan. To this day there are numerous "kids" (they're starting to grow up) who are in and out of the house often stopping by to see "Ma and Pa." With "grandkids" now coming along as well.

If you knew Dan, you probably knew that he loved to ride his 2011 Harley Davidson Fat Bob motorcycle any chance he got. Jessica's son Chance was tickled when he finally bought his own, just like Dans, and found from the VIN that the bikes were on the assembly line together. Dan was even signed up for motorcycle classes this fall so he would finally be legal after 40 years of riding already!

Grateful for having shared his life are his wife, Jessica; sons, Mathew Hall (KC), Robert Hall (Kayce), Richard Hall, Chance Sanford; daughters Morgan Belisle and Gracie Hall; grandchildren, Emily Hall, Evelyn Hall, and June Hall; sister, Veronica (Hall) Speechley; and countless children who called him "Pa" or "Dad" even though he wasn't actually their father. He was preceded in death by his father, James and his brother, Dennis.

Visitation with the family present will be held on Wednesday, August 4, 2021, at Miller Funeral Home, 507 S. Main Avenue from 5:00-7:00pm. Memorial Service will be held at 2:00pm Thursday, August 5, 2021 at Miller Funeral Home as well. Following the service, please join the family for food and to continue to share your stories of Dan in the back banquet room of Red Eye Bar & Casino, 5013 N Cliff Avenue. Children are welcome to join, staying to the back banquet room.

Military Honors and committing Dan's ashes to the Mausoleum at the Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Sioux Falls, SD will be pending the spring or summer of 2022.
