Stephen Keith Taylor was born on September 15, 1966. He was the caring son of the late Simon Taylor and Geraldine Taylor Sandle, and stepson of Melvin Peter Sandle. He entered eternal rest on Monday, May 10, 2021 at the age of 54.

Stephen "Stebo" Taylor was a 1986 graduate of East St. John High School where he gallantly served as the band's drum major. He had maintained a number of friendships with his classmates.

Stephen Keith Taylor was a native of Garyville, LA and a resident of Laplace, LA. He leaves to cherish his memories his mother, Geraldine Sandle; stepfather, Melvin Sandle; children, Jovan Johnson, Stephen Jackson, Tramon Johnson, Dominique Frank, Stephanie Johnson, Stephon Johnson, Jacob Taylor, Kayla Taylor, Stephen Taylor, Jr, Elijah Taylor, Elisha Taylor, and a host of grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

He is also survived by his siblings, Kenneth KT Taylor and Pastor Laurie Taylor Adams; sister-in-law, Lisa Taylor; and stepbrothers Ray and Myron McGinnis.

Stephen was preceded in death by his father, Simon Taylor; grandparents, Wallace Chaney and Laura Battiste; brother Gregory Taylor, Sr.; and brother-in-law, Pastor Cornell Adams.

He will truly be missed by his family members and his devoted nephew, Derrius Taylor, who spent many moments caring for him.

Stephen "Stebo" Taylor loved his children, grandchildren, nieces, and nephews dearly. He was also passionate about his church brothers at Voice of Truth Fellowship Church, Deeper Life Ministries and Bishop Jefferson, Bethel Men's Transformational Ministry and Pastor Robbie Roberts, James Cipriano, and his friends at Fred's Janitorial Services.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, Mat 15, 2021 at Treasures of Life Funeral Services, 315 E. Airline Hwy, Gramercy, LA 70052. Visitation period from 10am-11am. Service at 11am. Pastor Laurie Adams officiating. Interment to follow at St. John Memorial Gardens in LaPlace, LA.
