Wendy Marcia Johnson, a devoted and loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, was called to eternal rest on Monday, May 10, 2021 at St. James Parish Hospital in Lutcher, LA.

Wendy was born on November 6, 1960 in New Orleans, LA to the late Stanley and Loretta Johnson. She was baptized at a young age at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. She was a lifelong resident of Edgard, LA.

Wendy leaves to cherish her memories three devoted sons, Demond Johnson (Tina), Reginald Johnson, and Dwayne Johnson (Tondia); six grandchildren, Jalen, Jordan, Treyson, Jalahni, Trinity, and Jrue Johnson; five sisters, Veronica Schexnayder (Hardy, Sr.), Debra Johnson, Doretha Steib (Claude), Madeline Marsh, and Charlene Johnson; three Godchildren, Tre Borne, Jada Washington, and Arron Bovie; devoted caregivers, Tawana Lumar, Barbara Morris, Imani Mathieu and Charlotta Brown, and a host nieces, nephews, family and devoted friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Stanley and Loretta Johnson; brother Danny Borne; and aunts, Arthmese Mathieu, Alice Jarrow, Marie August, and Cleo Thomas.

Wendy was a caring and giving person to everyone she came in contact with. She was funny and knew how to make you laugh. A phrase by Kurt Becnel that best summarizes Wendy; "What you see is what you get!".

Family, friends, and staff of Davita Healthcare Company, Petrin Co., Entergy Ethos, Louisiana Federal Credit Union and all transportation services are invited to attend a public walk-through visitation on Sunday, May 16, 2021 at Treasures of Life Funeral Services, 315 E. Airline Hwy, Gramercy, LA 70052 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, May 17, 2021 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 2349 LA 18, Edgard, LA 70049. Visitation period from 8:00 AM - 9:00 AM. Recitation of Rosary at 9:00 AM. Service at 10:00 AM. Entombment to follow at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church Cemetery.
