STRICKLAND, Sara Ann, 93, a resident of Westminster Canterbury, died Friday, January 6, 2012 after a long illness. Sara was predeceased by her parents, Mina L. and John A. Strickland; and her two sisters, Margaret Winters Witten (Mrs. Eugene) and Cathleen French (Mrs. David). She moved to Richmond many years ago from Bluefield, Va., to join her family and to serve as a secretary with the Department of Agriculture for the State of Virginia. Sara was a dedicated member of First Baptist Church. She leaves behind several cousins, dear friends and wonderful caregivers at Westminster Canterbury. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, January 18, in Forest Lawn Cemetery, followed by a memorial service at 2 p.m. in the Chapel at Westminster Canterbury. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be

made to the Westminster Canterbury Foundation, 1600 Westbrook Ave., Richmond, Va. 23227 or the First Baptist Church TV Ministry, 2709 Monument Ave., Richmond, Va. 23220.
