Beulah Bottom Claunch, 85, widow of Frank Claunch, died Thursday, July 1, 1999 at the James B. Haggin Memorial Hospital. Born October 2, 1913 in Washington County, she was the daughter of the late Willie G. and Laura Toms Bottom. She was retired from the Mercer County Board of Education after 36 years and was a member of the Mercer County Farm Bureau. She was a member of Bruner's Chapel Baptist Church where she worked in the nursery for several years. Survivors include: two sisters, Hazel Click, Springfield and Julie Peavler, Harrodsburg; two granddaughters, Mrs. Ken (Alexia) Brock, Evansville IN and Debbie Claunch, Harrodsburg; two great grandsons, Kevin Franklin Brock and Ryan Alexander, both of Evansville. She was preceded in death by a son Cleo Harlan Claunch. Funeral services were held Saturday, July 3, at the Alexander and Royalty Funeral Home with Bro. Larry Redding officiating. Burial was in Spring Hill Cemetery.
