Jean Morris died at home on Tuesday, July 27, 2021 of natural causes at age 84. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 7th at 9:30 A.M. at Flahiff Funeral Chapel, 624 Cleveland Blvd. in Caldwell. A viewing will take place the evening prior, on Friday, August 6th from 6-8:00 P.M. at Flahiff Funeral Chapel in Caldwell. Jean was born in Central City, Nebraska at her grandmother's house. She was raised in Caldwell, attending Caldwell High School where she held several offices, including President of the Business Professional Association. Jean also served as President of Lady Elk's. She enjoyed taking the Elk's Winner's Tour to Winnemucca and always came home a winner. Jean owned a variety of businesses, including saloons, RV and mobile home sales, and a record store. She lived in Boise, Tacoma, and Las Vegas before building her beautiful home and pool in Caldwell, Idaho. She enjoyed a diversified career of homemaker, self-employed accountant, store manager, secretary, tax preparer, retiring as office manager and accountant for Nampa Paving and Asphalt at 73. Jean enjoyed traveling to the Oregon Coast, her roses, and hosting her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren at her beautiful pool. Jean met her first true love, Jerry G. Morris, at the Idaho State Fair. They were married August of 1956. She is survived by her three daughters: Shelli D. Clemens, Boise; Dana L. (R. Todd) Ellis, Meridian; and Kimberly J. (Carl J.) Horn, Shoshone; grandchildren: Brittany Lynn and Baili Dawn Ellis, and Colton Jerry and Cade Robert Horn; and great grandchildren: William Ellis Stringer and Hurley Cage Ellis. Jean was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry G. Morris, and her long-standing significant other, Renny Huffman. She was also preceded by her father and mother, Arthur J. and Grace L. Jerome; sister, Janice L. Cannon; son-in-law, Don S. Clemens; parents-in-law, Ruby L. and Lester E. Morris; sister-in-law, Tanya Judy King; and an infant daughter. Jean was a wonderful mother, grandmother, great grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. She will be dearly missed and will always be treasured by her family.
