Bradley R. Barker, 70, of Bethel, passed away Friday December 14 at home with his family by his side. He was born in Norway on March 31, 1942 the son of LeRoy and Beatrice Edwards Barker. He attended school in Norway and graduated in 1960 from Gould Academy. He served in the U. S. Army Reserves. On August 17, 1962 he married Judith Currier. Brad worked for Central Maine Power for 19 years first as a lineman in Lewiston and then as town representative for Bethel. In 1977, he started Bethel Auto Sales, which he and his wife owned and operated until 1995. He also served as a town selectman for Bethel for several years. Brad enjoyed going to auto auctions and spending time with family at his camp on Norway Lake. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Judy of Bethel; four children, Dennis and wife Jan of Hebron, Donald and wife Dawn of Kingston, N.H., Deborah Reed of South Paris and Daniel Barker of Auburn; eight granddaughters, Desneige, Darcy, Lauren, Destiny, Rachel, Danielle, Emily and Bethany; and his loyal dog, Cody. He was predeceased by his parents.
