Mrs. Mary Brown, Ovett, Is Called

Mrs. Mary C. Brown, of Ovett, who had been a suffer from pneumonia for the past ten days, died Sunday morning at 9 o'clock at the Laurel General Hospital. Funeral services were conducted Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the Brown cemetery near Ovett, Rev. Ware officiating. Interment took place there also.

Mrs. Brown who had been a resident of the Ovett neighborhood for many years, was one of the best known women in that locality. She was 68 years of age and had been in fairly good health until the fatel affliction, when she was removed to the hospital. Her advanced age rendered her affliction all more serious.

Nine sons and two daughters survive, they are; Harvey and Horace Brown, A. T. and L. E. of Jacksonville, Fla; Bura, Homer, J. T. and Lee, of Ovett; and H. A. Brown of Natchez and Mrs. L. S. Evans, Sumrall; and Mrs. J. E. Nicholson of Ovett.

Six brothers and three sisters are among the near surviving relatives.
