Bev was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on March 29, 1929 to the late Beverly William and Lilian Ruth (Miller) Adams.
He is also preceded by his twin brother, Ralph (Virginia) Adams.
Bev graduated from Olney High School in Philadelphia and went on to study at Philadelphia College of Textiles and Sciences, and later earned his Master's degree in Chemistry from Union College.
He served in the US Army during the Korean War until he was honorable discharged in 1953.
Bev then went on to have a 35-year career as a chemist with Schenectady International.
Bev loved animals and was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed downhill skiing, especially at Gore Mountain.
He was an active member of Burnt Hills Baptist Church where he served on many ministries.
Bev also spent time volunteering at Stevens Elementary School and was a member of the YMCA of Southern Saratoga. His life was enriched by the friendships he made there.
Bev was known for his remarkable memory and his knowledge of many subjects. He was an avid reader of "Scientific American" and "The New Yorker."
Bev is survived by his wife Nellie "Kate" Adams; his children Beverly William (former wife Bonnie Holcum Adams) Adams; Valerie Adams; also survived by his foster children Mark (former wife April Cook) Hansen and Ronald (former wives Lisa Mulligan and Kim Quay) Hansen; his brother Ronald William (Irene) Adams; and his grandchildren Amy (Ben) Hansen Mosher, Jamie Hansen, Kevin Hansen, Kayla Hansen and Caterina Hansen and great granddaughters Charlee Marie Mosher and Dakota Leigh Mosher.
