Mrs. Smith loved and was devoted to her Lord and family. She was a visitor at St. Margaret's Episcopal Church in Boiling Springs. She crocheted blankets for shut-ins. She was a keen gardener who loved flowers and birds.
She retired from Bocock-Stroud Department Store in Winston-Salem, NC.
Mrs. Smith is survived by a sister, Inez Hole of Danbury, NC; a niece and three nephews; and many great and great-great nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her daughter, Beverly Pennell.
A graveside service will be held 2:00 p.m. Sunday, August 1, 2021, at Good Shepherd Memorial Park, 4164 Boiling Springs Road, Boiling Springs, SC 29316, conducted by the Rev. Deacon David Rodrick. A reception will follow the service at St. Margaret's Episcopal Church, 4180 Boiling Springs Road, Boiling Springs, SC 29316.
