Denise Catherine Campbell - August 07, 1949 - July 28, 2021 - Our beloved Mom, Denise Campbell, passed away peacefully July 28th, surrounded by love with her dear children, Chris and Shannon, at her side. Denise has now been reunited with her beloved daughter, Jeanne Campbell, who had predeceased her.
Denise in her home, profession and community had a servant heart. She served as the first female police detective of the Harris County Sheriff's Office. She was passionate in her Catholic faith and a lover of all animals. Denise enjoyed all things related to her family and most especially her grand-children with one exception; Denise did not enjoy camping, although she made an effort. Denise was a beautiful lady in all ways. She was the fiery Irish light and soul of our Campbell Clan.
Denise will be greatly missed by her husband of 58 years, Guy Campbell; son and daughter-in-law, Chris Campbell and Carri Campbell and daughter, Shannon Chastain. She is Nana to Jeffrey Rios, Jessica, Rios, Ryan Steinberg, Christina Chastain, Peyton Campbell and Hunter Campbell. She is great-grandmother to Karsyn Rios.
Visitation will be 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM Sunday, August 1, 2021 at Crofts – Crow Funeral Home in Blanco where a Rosary will be held at 7:00 PM that evening. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM Monday morning at 11:00 AM at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery with Rev. Brion Zarsky officiating.
