Norma Martinez 57, of Brawley, passed away Saturday, July 10, 2021. She was born in El Centro and raised in Brawley. She attended Brawley Schools, graduating from Brawley Union High School in 1981. Norma enjoyed going to the casino and playing bingo with her friends and family. She also loved listening to oldies and cooking.
Visitation will take place Thursday, August 5 at Frye Chapel in Brawley from 6 to 9 p.m. Mass will commence at 9 a.m. Friday, August 6 at St. Margaret Mary Church in Brawley. Norma will be laid to rest at Riverview Cemetery following Mass.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Carlotta Martinez in 1999; brother, Robert " Bullet" Martinez in 2015, and her sister; Leticia Martinez in 2017.
Norma is survived by her spouse, Armando Terriquez of Brawley; son, Armando Terriquez Jr. of Brawley; daughters, Alyssa Terriquez of El Centro and Ashley Cosio Terriquez of Brawley; sister, Mary Mendoza of Brawley; brother, Frank "Panchillo" Martinez Jr. of Brawley; sisters, Lupe Martinez of Brawley, Marty Martinez of Brawley, and Rosemary Lara of Brawley; and several nieces and nephews.
