Funeral services for Matthew Keith Gore will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Sunday, August 1, 2021, in the Chapel of Rush Funeral Home, Pineville, with Deacon Luke White officiating. Interment will follow in Holloway Baptist Church Cemetery, Hickory Grove, under the direction of Rush Funeral Home, Pineville.

Matthew Gore, 32, of Pineville, entered eternal rest on Thursday, July 29, 2021.

He graduated from Tioga High School, class of 2007 with honors and from ROTC where he was First Lt. Colorguard. He attended LA Tech University and graduated from NSU in 2014 with a masters in biology and minored in chemistry. He was currently working at Christus Hospital in Shreveport as a medical scientist. He loved doing research and helping people. He always researched a cure for cancer and was part of the breast cancer study at NSU. He was a nationwide gamer and loved playing trivia in his spare time. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Calvin and Billie McCann and Roy Malone; and paternal grandfather, Ronald Gore.

Those left to mourn his loss and cherish his memory include his mother, Grace Texada and her husband, B.H., of Pineville; his father, Michael Gore and his wife, Christy, of Nantachie Lake; one brother, Marc Gore and his wife, Kasey, of Ball; four sisters, Jescica Cook and her husband, Chris, of Pineville, Courtney LeBouef and her husband, John, of Alexandria, Taylor Williams and her husband, Jake, of Pineville and Tabatha Bowlin, of Natchitoches; his paternal grandmother, Barbara Sue Gore, of Tioga; his godparents, Luke White and Lisa Lampert; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

A time of visitation will be held at Rush Funeral Home, Pineville, on Sunday, August 1, 2021, from 10:00 a.m. until time of services.

Pallbearers honored to serve are: Joe Rachal, Josh Frazier, Tyler Altenberger, Austin Gagnard, Lance Nolan, Derek Gore, Wesley Munsterman and Jake Williams.
