Henry C. Klein, of Lititz, formerly of Doylestown, passed away on Thursday, July 29, 2021 at Lancaster General Hospital. He was 87.
Henry was the loving husband of Gladys Klein. The couple celebrated their sixty-eighth wedding anniversary this year.
Born in Doylestown, he was a son of the late Robert and Hettie Klein.
Henry was a 1951 graduate of Central Bucks High School. He continued his studies and graduated from Temple University with a degree in Business, having majored in Accounting.
Henry proudly served his country as a Corporal for the U.S. Army from 1953-1955.
Both prior to, and following, his service in the Army Henry worked for the FBI. He then joined Ametek and had a successful career spanning 41 years.
He was the President of the Lenape Valley Recreation Council, and also coached and officiated youth football and baseball. Later, Henry coached baseball for the Doylestown Athletic Association.
In his free time, Henry enjoyed golf, reading, and vacationing. His greatest enjoyment in life came from spending time with his family and friends.
In addition to his wife, Gladys, Henry will be deeply missed by his children, Lynn Williams (David), Thomas Klein, Charles Klein; five grandchildren, Sara (Michael), Jonathan, Danielle, Alexander, Elizabeth; and a great granddaughter, Evianna.
In addition to his parents, Henry is preceded in death by his son, Henry Charles Klein, Jr., his sister, Doris Truitt, and his brother, Robert Klein.
Henry's funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 5. 2021 at 11:00 AM at the Shelly Funeral Home, 1460 Easton Rd, Warrington, PA 18976. His family will receive family and friends from 10:00 AM until the time of the service. Interment will follow at Doylestown Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Henry's memory may be made to a charity of one's choice.
