Kenneth was born in Brooklyn, NY on August 24, 1946, to Raymond R. and Lillian Pierce.
He was a Vietnam Veteran, receiving 2 Purple Heart awards, and retired after 25 years as a Lieutenant Colonel. He also retired from Civil Service as an Analyst.
Kenneth was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather and a true soldier.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Josephine "Jo" Pierce; daughters, Colleen Krauss and husband, Danny, and Veronica Arnold and husband, David; 3 grandchildren, Jessica Krauss, Daniel Krauss and Ryan Arnold; brothers, Joseph Pierce and Raymond Pierce and wife, Donna; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, August 1, 2021 from 2 to 4 pm at Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home. A Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, August 3, at 10:30 at the All-American Chapel on Ft. Bragg. Burial will follow with Military Honors at Sandhills State Veterans Cemetery.
