On Sunday July 25, 2021, at the age of 62, Cathy Lynn Boyd passed of natural causes. Cathy was the daughter of Lee Elliot and Bob McFarland, born January 28, 1959, in Odessa, Texas. Cathy was raised in Wichita Falls from infancy. Cathy had a passion for working with animals, often riding horses. Cathy loved enjoying the outdoors of Texas; you'd find her outside gardening, doing yard work, or swimming in a lake.
Cathy attended and graduated from Rider High School. Cathy stands out in Rider High's long history as the first baton twirler, an active member of FFA and the Rodeo Club. Cathy continued her education, graduating from cosmetology school. Cathy went on to own and operated her own beauty salon. After running her own small business, Cathy took time to have children; Cathy went on to have three children, Cody, Bobby, and Paige.
Cathy is preceded in death by her grandparents, Gene and Grace Latham and Wilson Elliot, her parents, Lee Elliot and Bob McFarland, and her brother, Randy Spinks. She is survived by her grandmother, Neva Elliot; sister, Wanda Elliot, and brother, Terry McFarland; her son, Cody (Amanda) Boyd; son, Bobby (Sarah) Jones; her daughter, Paige (William) Hornisher; and her four grandchildren, Carol Anne, Zoe, Cian, and Michael; as well as countless aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
