Eugene Ralph Brown, Sr. was born on September 26, 1985, in Lander, Wyoming the son of Daniel Brown and Carmelita England. He passed away on Thursday July 22, 2021, at St. Francis Medical Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the age of 35.

Eugene attended Wyoming Indian Elementary School, East Heights Elementary School, Woodall School, Sequoyah High School, Haskell Indian Nations University, and Southwestern Indian Polytechnic Institute.

Eugene was employed with Greenleaf for several years. He was also a Cherokee Firedancer, and later completed the Buildings and Trades program with Cherokee Nation Career Services. Eugene enjoyed carpentry work. Eugene was employed with McIntosh where he helped build the Cherokee Nation Outpatient Health Center. His most recent employment was with the Cherokee Nation Outpatient Health Center in the maintenance department.

Eugene enjoyed hanging out with friends, reading, watching all movies new or old, TV sitcoms, floating the Illinois River, singing karaoke, and listening to music,. He was a thoughtful person who often gifted his loved ones with keepsakes on special occasions. Eugene was a giving person who also shared everything he had with others who were in need. He often used his humor to encourage others.

He is preceded in death by:Maternal grandparents, Ralph England and Ethel Handle; paternal grandparents, Wilbur T. Brown Sr. and Ursula Brown; aunts and uncles.

He is survived by a loving family which includes his parents, Daniel and Carmelita, his son Eugene Brown Jr. and his mother Cherelle Begaye of New Mexico, sisters, Ursula Brown, Dana Brown, Hannah Anderson, Kellie Gibson and brother-in-law David Gibson Sr., and a special friend, Imogene Case. Many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends also survive him.
