Janet "Jeannette" Roussel Dornier was born on April 24, 1931 in Paulina, LA and passed away on July 29, 2021 at the age of ninety. She resided on the east bank of St. James Parish for her entire life. She is the last child of Octave T. and Ella Boudreaux Roussel to be laid to rest.

Janet is survived by her sons, Henry Jr. Dornier, Carl Dornier (Merritt), Jean Dornier (Paula), Matthew Dornier (Kara), Stephen Dornier (Kay); son-in-law, Donnie McGehee; daughter-in-law, Maxine Dornier; fourteen grandchildren, Daniel Dornier (Emily), Alicia Poche (Scott), James Dornier, Jacob McGehee (Sara), CeCe McGehee, Phillip Dornier (Olivia), Jeanne Dornier, Courtney Hummel (Brooks), Kaci Dornier, Allie Dornier, Jeremy Dornier (Jourdan), Nicholas Dornier (Rebekah), Zachary Dornier (Ashlynn), Kristen Dornier; nine great-grandchildren, Emmett Poche, Henry Dornier II, Levi Dornier, Eleanor Dornier, Delilah McGehee, Malcolm Hummel, Audrey Dornier, Cecilia Dornier, and Lennox Dornier. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Henry Dornier, Sr.; daughters Ella Jeanne Dornier and Stephanie McGehee; parents, Octave T. and Ella Boudreaux Roussel; sisters, Ethel Martin Taylor, Helen Schexnaydre, Idola Hoover, Nancy Stein, Emelie Thoms, Ruth Minvielle; brothers, Whitney Roussel, Melvin (Teg) Roussel and Octave T. (T-boy) Roussel.

Janet was a faithful perpetual adorer at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Chapel, and she sang in the St. Michael the Archangel, Sacred Heart of Jesus and St. Joseph Catholic Church choirs. She loved opera, musicals, classic movies, cooking for her family, and praying the rosary.

The family would like to thank Azalea Estates Faculty and Staff, Hospice Specialists of Louisiana, and Father Vincent Dufresne who helped in her care and transition home.

Family and friends are invited to attend funeral services at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Paulina, LA on Monday, August 2, 2021. Visitation will be held at 9:00am until a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated by Father Brent Maher at 11:00am. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Church Mausoleum in Paulina, LA.
