Born in Burlington, VT, a daughter of the late Lewis E. and Alberta U. (Jacobs) Barlow.
She resided in Warwick before moving to North Kingstown in 2008.
Rita had been employed as a real estate associate with Century 21 and Bruce Allen Realtors. Her faith and her family were the most important things in her life. She was very active at St. Rita Church in Warwick where she served as a Eucharistic Minister and was a member of the Women's Club and Choir. She was also a communicant of St. Francis DeSales in North Kingstown for the past several years. She never gave up on anyone and had a positive impact on many lives. Her smile and her sense of humor will be greatly missed.
She is survived by her beloved children Thomas E. French, Jr., Cheri Lee Taylor and her husband Larry, Karleen M. Wilson and her husband Bobby, Pamela J. Wercinski and her husband Joe, Adrienne J. Gorka, Rita A. Beck and her husband Kevin and is predeceased by her daughters Charlene M. French and Kathleen J. French. She was the devoted grandmother of David Taylor, Lawrence Taylor, Jason Correia, Scott Josephson, Kayla Beck, Christopher Correia, Sara Sensabaugh, Amber Beck and the late Danielle Taylor and great grandmother of Ella Taylor Dorward. She is predeceased by her sibling Walter L. Barlow, Robert R. P. Barlow, Donald R. Barlow and Veronica M. Hairgrove.
Her funeral was held Monday from the Thomas & Walter Quinn Funeral Home, 2435 Warwick Avenue, Warwick with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Rita Church, Oakland Beach Avenue, Warwick. Burial followed
at All Hallows Cemetery, Moosup, CT. Visiting hours were held on Sundaybafternoon.
