Carolyn Marbut Graham, 72, of Athens, passed away peacefully at her residence on July 27, 2021, surrounded by her loved ones.

Carolyn was born on January 13, 1949, to Winfred and Edna Mae Marbut.

The oldest sister of ten, she was better known to her siblings as "Queenie". She graduated from West Limestone High School in 1967 then attended Calhoun Community College as she began working at Decatur Rubber and Gasket, where she worked for 42 years as office manager.

Carolyn and James got married on November 14, 1969 and spent many wonderful years together. Life only got sweeter when she retired, as they both enjoyed riding around the countryside and going on trips together. She enjoyed playing cards at "the Pond" with her siblings and spending time with her kids and grandkids. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and most importantly, a follower of Jesus. Carolyn was a member of Lindsay Lane Baptist Church.

Carolyn is survived by her husband of 51 years, James Graham; daughter Lori Lefevre (John) and son Michael Graham (Lori); grandchildren Rylee Lefevre, Jackson Lefevre, Sawyer Graham, and Katelyn Graham; brother Larry Marbut (Trish), sister Linda Marbut, sister Victoria Evans (Royce), brother Stephen Marbut (Sue), sister Karen Nave (Jimmy Don), and sister Patty Davis (the late Randy Davis); many nieces and nephews as well as great nieces and nephews.

Carolyn is preceded in death by her parents Winfred and Edna Mae Marbut; brother Mark Marbut; and sisters Claire Goodin and Myra Burleson.

A memorial service will be held for Mrs. Graham on Sunday, August 1, 2021, at 3:00 PM at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home, officiated by Brother Dusty McLemore. Visitation will be from 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Michael Graham, Jackson Lefevre, Sawyer Graham, Trevor Anderson, Bobby Graham, and Nelson Marbut, and honorary pallbearer John Lefevre.
