Neustifter, Rita

Passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 25, 2021 with her loving husband of 43 years by her side. Rita was a gentle, kind soul. She dedicated her life to caring for others including as a nurse at St. Michael's Hosptial in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, St. Joseph Hospital in Ypsilanti, Kresge Hospital Centre at Chelsea Hospital, and last summer at Camp DeSales. Rita was also a gifted psychic who helped many people who had lost loved ones. She had a deep and sacred relationship with her ancestors that shined in her dedication to genealogy, which she used to help others feel connection to their own family and community histories. Rita was also passionate about nature and gardening, taking joy in her gorgeous indoor and outdoor flowers, trees, and gardens, particularly hostas.

She is mourned by many including her husband, Bob Neustifter; her child, Ruth Neustifter; her sisters, Carol Malich and Diane Beauchamp; and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her father, Joseph Malich and other family members. Her loved ones are comforted by the knowledge that she is warmly received and embraced by her ancestors and loved ones who have waited to welcome her home.

According to her wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at a later date.

In lieu of sending flowers, contributions to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital would be appreciated.
