Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 5, 2020 at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Church Point, La for James Nathan Dickerson, 66, who died at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, December 1, 2020 in Lafayette, LA.
Père Rozas will celebrate the Mass of Christian Burial. Visitation may be observed on Friday, December 4, 2020 from 11:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. and on Saturday December 5, 2020 from 8:00 a.m. until service time. The Rosary will be prayed at 7:00 p.m. Friday.
Nick was born May 2, 1954 in Church Point, LA. He enjoyed music and dancing, playing his instruments, the Scrubboard, harmonica and his guitar. He was a sports fan and enjoyed watching the LSU tigers and the New Orleans Saints. He also had a huge collection of toy trucks and cars but mostly enjoyed life to the fullest.
Nick is survived by 7 sisters, Lela D. Dickinson of Branch; Roxanna Dickerson of Cankton; Joyce, Nelda, Nancy, Judy and Bootsie all of Dequincy; 3 brothers, Randy Daigle and his wife, Judy of Harvey; Chuck Dickerson and wife, Debbie of Covington, and Mike Dickerson and wife , Cheryl of Springhill, TX. and many loving nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Moise and Dora Daigle; his mother, Elvina (Daigle) Dickerson; Father, Nathan O. Dickerson; 3 sisters, Linda Jeanis, Stephanie Daigle and Jean Adair and 3 brothers-in-law, James Adair, Percy Jeanis and Wardell "Sonny" Dickinson.
