William Mark Elliott, 84, of Black Mountain, peacefully went home to be with the Lord on July 25, 2021 with his family by his side.

William was born October 25, 1936 to the late Vernon and Elsie Elliott. He is also preceded in death by his sister, Naomi Burnette; and niece, Teresa Fisher.

Left to cherish his memory are his siblings, Daniel Elliott and Ann Lawrence (Charles); nieces and nephew, Tammy Meadows, Bronté Allen, and Marcus Brigman; great nephew and caregiver, Chris West; and numerous great nieces and nephews.

William was a veteran of the US Army, avid Democrat, electrician, family historian and farmer with a green thumb. He loved music and could play a guitar and a banjo. He had a big heart and would help anyone. William dearly loved his family and his dogs. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

The family will receive friends Thursday, July 29, 2021 from 6:00 to 7:00pm at Harwood Home for Funerals & Cremation Services with a Celebration of Life service immediately following.

A graveside service will be held Friday, July 30, 2021 at 11:00am.
