Edward worked for Orange and Rockland Utilities in Spring Valley, NY for more than 35 years until he retired in 2004. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Weaverville where he was a Deacon and Choir Member.
Edward was a son of the late Donald Glenn Cole and Virginia Lucille Leonhart Cole, and was also preceded in death by his wife, Veronica Mary Sullivan Cole who passed away on December 12, 2006; and a daughter-in-law, Glenda Cole.
Surviving are his son, Christopher Glenn Cole and girlfriend Wanda Campbell of Alexander; daughter, Heather Lynn Anderson and husband Michael of Forest City; grandchildren: Wyatt Cherry and Alyssa Anderson; sisters: Elizabeth Cole, Glenda Cole, and Donna Cole all of Middletown, NY; brother, Brian Cole and wife Mary of Arden; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2 PM Friday, July 30, 2021, at the First Presbyterian Church of Weaverville, 30 Alabama Ave, Weaverville, NC 28787, with Rev. Skip Gillikin officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Baptist Church Cemetery with Military Honors provided by the N.C. National Guard Honor Guard.
