Dwight D. "Dee" Smith, 68, of Fairhope, died July 28, 2021 at home. Born Jan. 31, 1953 in Meyersdale, son of Irving "Bud" and Ada (Thompson) Smith. Preceded in death by parents and sister-in-law Clara Smith. Survived by his wife of 49 years the former Gail Tataleba; daughters: Deidra (Chad) Cornett and Kelsie (Alex) Mazanowski; grandson Levi Cornett; sister Kerry (Dave) McQuade; brothers: Don Smith and Darren (Pauline) Smith; mother-in-law Shirley Tataleba; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was a 1970 graduate of Berlin Brothersvalley High School and a graduate of Penn Tech, Pittsburgh. He was a farmer and a retired service technician for Queen City Business Systems, LaVale, MD. Active member of Mt. Olivet United Methodist Church. Member of Garrett U.M.C. Cantata Choir, 142nd PA Civil War Reenactors, Allegany Co. MD Civil War Round Table, 4-H Leader, and sheep producer for 20 years. He loved to hunt and fish. Dwight was also a gifted turkey caller. A memorial service will be held 10 a.m. Saturday at Mt. Olivet United Methodist Church. Pastor Rodney Spiker and Kyle Holcomb officiating. Inurnment Mt. Lebanon cemetery, Glencoe. In lieu of flowers contributions may be given to Mt.
