April 25, 1933 – July 27, 2021

Barbara passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 27, 2021 after a brief illness. Born April 25, 1933 in Hale, MO to Porter and Ilavee Clute, she was one of three daughters. She married Richard L. Gibson on June 5, 1951, and they had three children: Beverly (Jerry) Shepherd, Richard L. Jr. (Patricia), and Kevin (Cyndi).

Barbara is survived by on sister Nadine (Darrell Lemoss). She was a member of the Oakdale Baptist Church. She was very active there. She was also a member of the Eastern Star and Pink Ladies for 25 years.

Along with her husband Richard, she was preceded in death by their son Kevin, her parents, and sister Wanda Lou.

Visitation will be held from 1pm – 2pm on Friday, July 30, 2021 at Flowers-Leedy Funeral Home, 105 West Third Street, Peru, Indiana. A short service will follow at the chapel at Ever-Rest Memorial Park in Logansport, Indiana with Father Adam Mauman officiating. Burial will follow.
