OBITUARY
Mrs. Lois Crouch Nelson, 85, went home to be with our Lord on Sunday, July 25, 2021. Lois was the fourth child of the late Elmer and Pearl Crouch of Canton, Missouri. She is preceded in death by one sister, Shirley Crouch Morgan. She is survived by her beloved husband of 67 years; Donald T. Nelson (87), one sister; Wava F. Bettes (95) of Pharr, Texas and one brother; Arlen Crouch (90) of Bryan, Texas, and is further survived by two daughters: Cynthia Nelson Taylor (Bogart, GA) and Jennifer Nelson Smith (Statham, GA); son-in-laws Daniel D Taylor and Dermot Smith; and four grandchildren: Hannah Elizabeth Taylor (24) of Atlanta; John David Taylor (22) of Richmond, VA, Adam Nelson Smith (20), and William Thomas Smith (16) both of Statham, GA.
After living in Perry, GA for over 40 years, she retired from the now Wells Fargo bank and moved to Watkinsville, GA in 2016.
After spending many years helping the Lutheran Church develop new churches in the middle Georgia area, the family requests that memorials be directed to Christ Lutheran Church in Perry, GA to support their ongoing development of a new school at www.christlutheranperry.org/tithing.
A graveside service for immediate family will be held in September at the Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery located in Milledgeville, GA with their Pastor Greg Michael (Christus Victor Lutheran Church, Athens, GA) officiating.
