Annie Francis Hudson Adams of Clarendon passed away on Wednesday, July 28, 2021. She was born on July 7, 1928, and is the youngest child of Caroline Ballard and Joseph Madison Hudson. Annie grew up in Clarendon Arkansas and Graduated from Clarendon High School in 1947.

After graduation, she was diagnosed with tuberculosis and was admitted to Arkansas Tuberculosis Sanitorium in Booneville, Arkansas. While she was a patient there she met Hershel Adams who was also a patient, they became friends and on June 1st, 1950 they were married at the First Baptist Church in Booneville. Annie was cured and discharged from the Sanitarium on January 1st, 1951. Once she was released she began her nurse's training and worked at the sanitorium mainly in the nursery ward alongside Hershel till her retirement 30 years later. After Annie and Hershel retired they decided to move back home to Clarendon.

They had no children of their own but Annie loved children and doted on her many nieces and nephews. Annie loved many things, she enjoyed reading, word search puzzles, listening to gospel music, and helping in the kitchen during vacation bible school.

Annie was a member of the Missionary Baptist Church in Clarendon since moving back from Booneville. she became a resident of Crestpark Nursing Facility in 2015 until her passing. She is survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews along with many good friends who loved Aunt Annie and will miss her very much.

Visitation will be on Saturday, July 31, 2021, from 1-2 PM at the Missionary Baptist Church in Clarendon with Services to follow at 2 PM. Burial will be at Shady Grove.
