Funeral of John Kappers Will Be Held on Friday:
The funeral of the late John Kappers, mention of whose death was made briefly in last night's issue of The Republican News, will be held Friday morning at 8 o'clock from his late residence, Sixth & Vine Streets & at 8:30 o'clock from St. Stephen's church. Burial will be made in St. Stephen cemetery.
Mr. Kappers was one of the best known citizens of this city. He was 51 years, 11 months & 6 days old at the time of his death & had been a pattern maker at the Long & Allstater Co. for 35 years, where he was quite popular with his employers & fellow employees. Besides the grief-stricken widow, three children, Geo. A. Kappers, Mrs. Edith M. Tiemeyer & Robert Kappers survive to mourn his death. Three grandchildren also survive. A sister, Mrs. Herman Klumper of Latonia, KY, & brother, Frank, of Dayton, also survive. Mr. Kappers came to Hamilton when a young boy from Berlin, OH, where he was born. He was a devout Catholic & member of St. Stephen's church. He was a member of the several organizations of that church and very popular in fraternal circles.
